Dimethylmercury ((CH₃)₂Hg) is an extremely toxic organic mercury compound. Previously used as an NMR standard and in laboratory research. Currently completely prohibited due to high lethality even at minimal doses. Easily penetrates through skin, latex, plastic, and respiratory tract. Destroys central nervous system cells, causing irreversible brain damage.
